Originally established as Ocean Engineering & Energy Systems in 1988 as an engineering consulting corporation, it has evolved into an international renewable energy and resource company using Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) to produce develop land-based and floating OTEC power plants that will produce low-cost electricity and potable water. OTEC power plants provide low-cost renewable energy and potable water using the natural thermal temperature gradient of the sea. Conventional power plants are expensive to operate and pollute the environment more than an OTEC plant would. As long as the sun heats the oceans, the electricity and potable water produced by OTEC is unlimited and free.

Now known as Ocean Engineering and Energy Systems, International, Inc. (OCEES), the company plans a broad range of innovative products and services offered synergistically with their OTEC system power plant designs, such as 24/7 clean power and water (unlike wind or solar power). OCEES’ multidisciplinary team of experienced corporate executives, scientists and ocean engineers, together with strong strategic corporate alliances, allows OCEES to provide solutions that will solve today’s toughest energy, resource and environmental problems.

The Worlds Largest Energy Resource

Ocean Engineering and Energy Systems International, Inc (OCEES) is leading the way in the development, financing, design, engineering, construction management and operation of fuel-free and pollution free renewable energy OTEC power plants. OCEES develops profitable, cost effective, custom designed renewable energy projects to support specific customer needs according to size and production output levels for power, water and air conditioning. OCEES's integrated OTEC systems represent a technically viable and economically attractive renewable energy alternative to conventional fossil fuel based power systems for tropical islands, coastal communities and also locations that support OCEES cooling systems. OCEES can also provide renewable power opportunities utilizing waste heat applications.

OCEES Future

Employing much of the technical advances discovered through OTEC research and development, OCEES is utilizing its knowledge gained from it’s personnel's experience in building the world’s first and only net power-producing land-based Hawaii OTEC facility in the mid-1990s. Our Chief Technology Officer Dr. Oney has made major strides in advancing OCEES toward successfully commercializing OTEC. In recent years this commercial progress has been advanced more than ever by exorbitant oil prices, increasing recognition of the threat of global warming, and the changing political climate which creates fertile ground for the emergence of market opportunities in the renewable energy field. OCEES is now poised to garner substantial profits from those opportunities. READ MORE
