Each day, more than enough solar energy is collected in the tropical ocean surface water in the form of heat to power the entire world’s appetite for energy for a year! Full exploitation of this resource to meet the world’s current and future energy requirements would not adversely affect the ocean’s or our climate’s natural systems like we are currently doing with fossil fuel consumption.
